  • Light weight, but it'll deterioate after 3yrs.

  • Do you have experience that the bamboo deteriorate after 3 years? I've been riding on a bamboo bike for almost 3 years without an issue. The calfee warranty is 10 years.

  • No, but from using it outdoors, I gathered it lasts 3yrs, but with proper varnishing, I can see it lasting several more years. So how's the ride? I got an idea of making a balsa wood bike.

  • it is the best riding bike I've ever had!

  • see? people in the US want to buy this!

  • @organicathlete you can buy this? where?

  • nice.. I want one :)

  • There are bamboo bikes made in China as early as 1880 that are STILL WORKING!

the metal parts are liable to deteriorate before the bamboo, as long as it is prepared correctly (and this does NOT mean varnishing)

  • is it stiff?

  • Way cool. Nice post.
