In this February 27, 2012 CNBC SquawkBox video interview with Warren Buffet he mentions that single family homes are 'an undervalued asset class'. His comments suggest that they are a good value for individual that want to live in a home or that might be handy enough to own a small number of single family homes and hopefully find good tenants to rent them to. Mr. Buffet mentions the operational difficulties associated with attempting to buy and manage single family homes on a large scale.
