Once again, you'll fight Palmer after 48 wins in the Battle Tower. His team remains the same from Platinum, except his Heatran is a little bulkier this time around. I'm using a Modest Lucario, and it wasn't able to OHKO with an Aura Sphere. You might remember the same thing happening in my Diamond Palmer Battle, except that Lucario was Timid. Regigigas doesn't carry a Chople Berry this time around, but still takes hits about as well as anything from the Regi-Family. Cresselia also carries Signal Beam. Aside from that, I don't really know what else is new with his team. I didn't bother looking it up like I did the first time I battled him.
I won't lie when I say that I got immensely lucky this time around. When Magma Storm missed in my Diamond, I had Heracross and Empoleon to easily pick up where I left off. This time, I was using Machamp and Cresselia. It would been quite difficult to take on the rest of his team after fighting that stupid thing off. I also won't lie when I say that the Pokemon in this battle ARE hacked. I didn't feel like breeding like I did in my last game, so don't judge me on that.
Finally, here's my team.
Lucario w/ Focus Sash
Modest - Inner Focus
252 SATK/252 Speed/6 HP
- Aura Sphere
- Shadow Ball
- HP Ice
- Vacuum Wave
Cresselia w/ Leftovers
Bold - Levitate
92 HP/136 SATK/122 DEF/158 SDEF
- Psychic
- Charge Beam
- Moonlight
- Toxic
Machamp w/ Lum Berry *Not shown
Adamant - No Guard
252 HP/160 ATK/96 SpD
- DynamicPunch
- Stone Edge
- Substitute
- Encore
Probably not the best team for Battle Tower, but it does have a number of perfect accuracy moves, priority and toxic stalling. Those are pretty much required in the tower.

Neat. Do you hack your own Pokemon? How do you decide what IV's to give if so?

Actually, I don't hack my stuff. I'm too cheap to bother buying an AR, so I have a friend do that for me. As for IV's, they're usually 31's unless I want to use a certain Hidden Power.
