Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering Technology (SVCET) Chittoor, is anISO 9001 -- 2000 certified institution established in the year 1998. It is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur and recognized by AICTE, New Delhi, with a Vision "to carve the youth as dynamic, competent, valued and knowledgeable Professionals who shall lead the Nation to a better future". The Institute offers 6 UG programmes in Engineering and Technology & 6 PG programmes.

The college is located on high way in an area of 65 acres of scenic beauty at R.V.S. Nagar, Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. The College is located seven kilometers from Chittoor and 60 KM from Tirupathi, the famous hill shrine of Lord Sri Venkateswara.

The college has spacious well-designed, adequately furnished and ventilated classrooms. All the laboratories of engineering and sciences are well equipped with the required equipments. The college is facilitated with a 125KVA capacity generator to ensure uninterrupted power supply for the conduct of academic activities. The laboratories and workshops are fully equipped with the state-of-art of facilities; particularly the computer centre, CAD/CAM center, Automated Library; Digital Library, internet and language labs are value added assets to the college.

The library has total books volumes of 29130 and 5,914 titles, 104 national journals, and 74 international journals along with 34 magazines and 603 IEEE Online Journals. The students are encouraged to make full use of the library and other facilities. The Internet center opened during the year 2005-06 acts as the reservoir of knowledge for people seeking information in the present technological world.

The college has accomplished remarkable growth in the past twelve years. The students' admission has been growing steadily year-by-year as in the case, in the first cradle year, i.e. 1998 the sanctioned intake was 180, which has now increased to 1008. As the intake of students multiplies, so does the infrastructure of the college, which is constantly under expansion to keep pace with the growing need and trends of technology. In this short span of time, SVCET enjoys the reputation of being one of the best engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh nestled in serene atmosphere providing quality education. On the whole, the college provides a safe, secure and ingenious ambience to the students for integrated learning practices SVCET has been ranked 4th among the Top Engineering Colleges in Andhra Pradesh in a survey conducted by CSR-GHRDC in August, 2010 SVCET was ranked 30th in CSR-GHRDC list of top 50 Colleges in India. SVCET was ranked 8 among top emerging colleges of excellence in India by CSR-GHRDC Survey, August 2010. SVCET was graded with AA by Careers360 Magazine Survey, June 2010. CSR- GHRDC Survey ranked SVCET with 3rd Rank in Andhra Pradesh for supreme excellence SVCET was graded with AA by Careers360 Magazine Survey, June 2010.

  • Hi friend, is this school near Murukambathur along the Thirupathi road? Last time I studied there in the Venkateswara school of Nursing with the same address. Does the school administrations remove already the Nursing School? I'm just deeply concerned because I missed the canteen so much. Is the Ravi Annan management and the Sri Devi warden still there? Thank you so much and I hope you can reply to me. =.(
