  • Good job! This piece was not played too slow. What type of Xylophone were you playing on? I concur with raising the instrument up for a more level wrist when playing.

  • I was playing on a very old Deagen rosewood xylophone.

  • You should take a look at Heifitz' Hora Stoccato which I played on the same day....

  • well done :-)

  • Thanks for all the nice words. Things got a bit ragged in the middle between the xylophone and piano....

  • this is a perfect example of us percussionists... we memorize music... he never looks at his music... i never did either, only like 2 time when sight reading it... i was mallet principle at my school for 3 years and i know that all percussionists do that. haha... i think its funny! But, you did a really good job!!!!!!! and it was really long to... keep it up!

  • wow... your amazing. i never knew people could play the xylophone this good. its incredible.

  • Good piece but the recording/acoustics would seem to have room for improvement.

  • Nice rolls :D

  • since goldenberg put this in the back of his book, this seems like a standard piece to perform/audition with. i learned part of it for the required mallet piece at a college audition, which was the same for all state auditions. this performance is pretty sweet.

  • Gonna be my piece for WSMA :D

  • I'm going to play this as an audition because i get to choose the piece and it's supposed to be around three minutes. I wanted to get a version on my ipod so it could help me memorize it. This is the version i chose because it sounds better than any other on youtube. So yea, good job.

  • I imagine that Bach himself would enjoy this.

  • YOU ARE REALLY COOL

    I LOVED THIS SONG

  • This is one of the audition pieces for Juilliard (on marimba). The fact that you can play this as an 8th grader is amazing. Good job!

  • Very good - I was intrigued to hear what this piece would sound like on the xylophone, and I was pleasantly surprised. Impressive playing.

  • aaaah, finally, someone plays it in the right speed! needs work but thumbs up for your performance. Great
