@tyberzann378 Now I see you interest in Fado, I myself grew up in Holland strangely enough where some fadistas as Mariza,Cristina Branco our even Ana Moura have great success. Like they say "we don't understand a single word, but the feeling & chemistry are amazing." Oddly enough I began to like Fado in my teen years when I went back to Portugal. I think some youngster may neglect in the beginning, but after awhile it just finds a way into someones heart. It's especial no doubt.

@IlManaka shame there's english hegemony in music. I'm Portuguese-American but everytime i share fado with my purely American friends, they're in love with it. but they'd never hear on the radio or anything. that's why it's up to fado fans to share it to preserve it.

@tyberzann378 I Have been seeing some of your comments about Fado, just like thank you for all your kind words, it's wonderful to hear from foreigners these things, makes us reflect about who we really are (young & old).Since the day Amalia set foot on other country , we (Portuguese) have been hearing all kind of praises about Fado and luckily it's not dying. Young fadistas as Carminho (Excellent as well) are taking the torch. Take a look at Carlos do Carmo you will probably like it too.

Portugal is blessed. such a little country with so much heart. Mariza, Ana Moura, Amalia Rodrigues, Dulce Pontes. No favorites. just homage to Amalia. lot a love to Deolinda,too (though not fado but brilliant all the same)
