  • can you please tell me which Fish are in your Aquarium? pleaseeeeeee

  • @M4DDYYYY In this video I have two oscar fish, a freshwater barracuda, some tiger barbs, and a pleco.

  • Hello i plan on getting 60 gallon tank with two hoods will i be able to still use this Marineland Penguin 350??

  • @Megamoonlight12345 Honestly i would probably go for more filtration...i guess it all depends on what you plan on keeping

  • Have you had any issues with vibration inside the unit, specifically the impeller? I had one, which would never seem to go away. It may have been an isolated incident. I was just wanting to get a feel of it from other owners.

  • @BrownLabRanch No i haven't, the only time i have vibration is if i am going from "off" to "on"

  • damn ur baracuda fish is a beast i have a asian needle fish i thought urs was one haha

  • @Megamoonlight12345 My apologies, I found that the Penguin 350 does indeed push 350 GPH, so all the water in your 60 gallon tank would be cycled in just 10.3 minutes. wow, this is a monster filter.

In one hour it would run through the water in your tank at maximum flow 5.8 times!! That is enough filtration to keep almost anything in there, even puffer fish. lol. Thank you, sorry about the earlier mistake.

  • Is a tank bigger than 30 gallons considerably more expensive (including hood/canopy and heater)? Say something like a 55 gallon long? Looks like most people use this filter in 40-60 tanks.

I don't have experience other than technical right now. I have only ever had a slightly overstocked 10G tank for about 2-3 months, all is well so far though, but there is lots to learn.

  • @dillonc361 That answers my question (if it is quiet enough to be held in a bedroom) as well. Thank you dillonc361.

  • @Megamoonlight12345 Hi, so the specs say that the Penguin 350B is rated at 70 gallons per hour, which means that it would cycle your 60 gallon every ~51 minutes. This means that it will be perfect if you have neon tetras but really inadequate if you keep any sort of puffer fish like I do.

In cases like this I use aqadvisor com to get a very conservative idea of what kind of filtration and space I need. Put in all the details and see how you stack up. Hope I was of some help :)

  • Hi, would you consider this filter quiet enough to keep in a bedroom? I want to transfer my dwarf puffers, bumblebee gobies, oto and platies to a 30-40 gallon as they are all starting to get bigger and was looking at getting this filter. The issue is that it's currently set up in my bedroom with a Tetra Whisper PF10.

The water is always perfect right now in the 10 gallon, but a couple more months and it might be too small for them. Thank you in advance!

  • what capacity/brand tank do you have? it's quite exquisite

  • @theprankster5000 It really depends on the water level, as long as you keep the water even with the down spout of the filter than you will have minimal noise from water trickle, however even if there is some noise, i find that it is rather calming.
