@woodster24 they started in 1984 with the daewoo cornet elegance only 450 were imported and only 11 still survive, `trust me I know what I`m doing` ;-)

@marshalllucky No they weren't. Daewoo didn't start selling cars in the UK until 1995 with the arrival of the Nexia.

I worked for Vauxhall and dont remember a 1200 engine in this bodyshell.

In Britain this was sold as the `landstar wind se` they were very popular as taxis but they only had a 1200cc engine so weren`t very fast. they were the first car with power steering in britain.

The back end is off the Senator - the rest of it is the same as the Rekord. In South Africa, the Opel Commodore had the Senator front end.

Daewoo also built rebadged Honda Legends at some point
