Shotokan Karate of America - Countdown to Nisei Week - Heian Nidan

The 53rd Annual Shotokan Karate Nisei Week Tournament and Demonstration is now only 5 weeks away!

To help count down to this exciting event at Cal Tech, we're going to upload a video every week of the kata from last year's Tournament and Demonstration.

This week we'll follow up with the Northern California Dojos demonstrating Heian Nidan, as well as the demonstration of the application of the techniques within the kata.

I left the association after Shihan Osawa died. The Katas changed, as well as Geri Wasa, Tsuki wasa and Uke Wasa. I feel as if it had gotten more relaxed. However, I live in a place where no Shotokan school is available and I have been training in Kempo Karate for 2 years...I have never felt the same passion for any style as I do for Shotokan. The art of a perfectionist. What ever happen to James Tawatao btw? anyone know?
