@bumchef1 Ah "Blues is King!" I first heard it in '67 at a friends house. I heard that build, that tone that phrasing etc....Then I went out immediately went out to try and buy the album which in white American suburbia in '67 wasn't easy. Changed my life forever!

Great song. But I only found it after seeing on Wikipedia that this song was influenced by St James Infirmary. I don't see much of a resemblance, but who can argue that Wikipedia is wrong? The 3 Kings are still remembered

@fenix9885 Thx! Also this is one of the few songs credited to BB's authorship. Once I saw a BBC (I think) that tried to trace St James Infirmary to an Anglo song from British Isles.
