  • May i make a suggestion? If not...too bad. It's coming anyways.

The Percussion 3 Part has the "suspended cymbal with bow"...well at least my part does. It right when it sounds like the train is slowing into the station, play the SC and make it sound like the breaks of the train are squeaking.

We did it with my band and it sounds super eerie yet sooooo good.

    Good luck

  • @MrFungi93 Hey man, you do realize that this was performed in May of 2006? I find it quite interesting that people have to go onto youtube and post comments to complete strangers just to make themselves sound bigger.

I'm glad you had a nice experience with your own part, however there is more than one way to do things- especially in percussion performance.

  • @gamills08 Hello stranger! I think you are oblivious to the fact that a train is supposed to sound like a train, and no sane composer in this post-realist age would write a lousy emulation. And if you didn't like helpful comments, you could have simply disabled comments for the video.

  • @gamills08 He was merely trying to make a positive suggestion.

    Hey Man,

It wasn't my intention to make me sound bigger. I just posted the comment for other people who play this song.

I know for a fact that every time my teacher hands out music, he plays a recording and tells us to go on youtube to see how other people do things.

It was just my intention to give a suggestion to other students who play the part. It's up to them how they do it.

  • Tuning issues though, again well done

  • You did a pretty good job on this piece

  • this is by far my favorite movement!

first chair clarinet has the solo in our band.

    ah-mazing job!
