@bookkeeper57 yes it is...:D im portuguese and in portuguese love god means "ama deus" "but in italiian to love god is "Amadeus" all together it is also mozarts name they named the title of the movie is "Amadeus" at that time almost every kind of music was made worshiping god especially opera music but also because his name was Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.the title has a double meaning....:)

@rukka16 Amadeus means "love of God", and Amadeo is what the Italians at court sometimes called him. Wolfgang is a German name.

@aGlowingTeapot As good as Tom Hulce's characterization of Mozart is, the film belongs to F. Murray Abraham. The film is not really about Mozart, it's a character study of envy and obsession; Salieri's.
