This is the alternative opening of "The Golden Rendezvous"(1977). The title of this version is "Nulcear Terror", which is for the broadcasting in United States.
Very entertaining film. I didn't care very much for it the first time it was on TV but I gave it a second chance and I'm glad I did. Jeff Wayne did an excellent job even though this theme is used a bit too much (the same situation as with Alan Silvestri's Delta force). I'll have it recorded on DVD next time it's on German TV again.
It's not just us, a reviewer on the IMDb mentions "....it would have been great if Harris hadn't resorted to some silly derring-do with dual submachine guns..."
I have believed that Harris was fighting with two machine-guns long time after my first watching of this movie in 1981 on TV.
But recently I have had a chance to watch the VHS which my acquaintance recorded such broadcasting in 1981.
I found that Harris was fighting with just one machine gun. Maybe my memory would be confused with the image that Harris had two guns in "99 AND 44/100% DEAD".
This is a shorter opening to the version of the film I have.
I remember seeing a version, on tv, where Richard Harris is fighting with two machine pistols, but in my copy he just has a machine gun. Have I remembered it wrong or is there a version where that happened?
