  • this man just said everything in that rant that I have been thinking for the last five years or so. there is nothing like art experienced in the moment. no future, no past. just right now for all in attendance. Local live music is dying and it ain't just in new orleans. People don't dance anymore. they are too scared because American idol, dancing with the stars, and project runway have people so damned critical nowadays that they can't just let the experience happen. it makes me very sad.

  • Wise words. Art is best experience live and in-person. While technology (TV, CDs, internet) has made information available anywhere, there is no experience like being moved in person.
