The International Discipleship Training School in ChiangMai is located 45 Km. outside of the city of ChiangMai in Mae Taeng. The aim of the iDTS is to prepare messengers of the Gospel, helping people to know God personally. Our goal is to form Christian character, based on Biblical truth, while seeing healthy relationships between the student and God, and between the students and their family and friends grow from these foundations. The emphasis is on developing a daily walk with God rather than merely accumulating head knowledge. We have three months of teaching in the classroom and two months of walking out what we have learned in active evangelism in a cross-cultural setting.
At this time we run the iDTS once a year. We start with lecture phase in September, and then take two weeks in a surrounding nation, usually China, before returning to finish the lecture phase. Then we separate into teams for our main outreach phase in two or three locations within Thailand. Bruce and Nit started the iDTS in ChiangMai again in 2002 and have been running schools since then with Thai and international students from all over the world.
