Not bad! One thing solid state technology shockingly does have over tube: durability.

I have this amp one problem with it, i replaced the fuse on it with a 1A 250v fuse, but now it makes a loud noise whenever i power it on

I picked one up a week ago for £40 and i have to say its fucking ace for an old solid state amp. I have EMG 61 in the neck and an 80 bridge and you can get some real early metallica like tones with it. Im well impressed for its age (1985) and the cost.

Wow! That sounds great for a solid state amp. It even sounds better than my Line 6 Flextone III

Two questions:
1. How much does it cost new?
2. Will it cover a small cover?

@transformer01234567 you have it wrong dude. TUBES LITERALLY WILL BLOW! so you have to replace them, not solid states, solid states just dont sound as nice.

Great Sound and Playing,I bought this Amp Today on ebay for 180Euro!!!
Hi again.
You sent me a response saying that you didn't know anything about Master Lead Combos. But Your 5210 is one. So, if you had a choice, which would you suggest.?

@Leesherwood Ha ha I didn't realize mine was a Master Lead Combo. It doesn't say that on there anywhere. Anyways... I would suggest you get a JCM 2000 DSL 100 head and a nice closed back 2x12 cab from Lopoline or Avatar Speakers loaded with Celestion Vintage 30s.

I see that you have a bunch of videos demonstrating marshall combos and heads etc. Here's my dilemma......After watching your video along with a all others I could find about the Master Lead series combo, I decided I would purchase one. But before I actually do, I would like your honest opinion on the tonal quality of the lead series amps versus lets say, the MG series. Is the MAster Lead series more articulate in it's tone than the MG's. I don't care about the bells and whistles on the MG.

@Leesherwood I don't know anything about the Master Lead combos. I suggest you get a JCM 800 2203X or a JCM 2000 DSL 100. Then get a nice 2x12 or 4x12 cab with Celestion Vintage 30s or G12-T75s.
You can find nice Marshall 4x12s for cheap ($300-$400). Or get a cab from Avatar Speakers or Lopoline.
If you get an MG, get the MG100HDFX head. It won't sound quite as good as a JCM 800 or DSL 100 but it will still sound awesome if you run it through one of the types of cabs I suggested.

That sounds great. I have a 5210 just like that with the Celestion G12M-70 4ohm speaker in it too. Do you ever use any effects or overdrive with it? And could you tell me your settings that give you that good classic rock sound? Great playing and choice of songs.

Cool! Thanks so much! I used to sometimes run some delay and chorus in the effects loop. But I haven't gigged with the amp in years. I just have it around the house for a quick amp to plug into. It's kinda sentimental as I've had it since I was 17... back in 1986. For the classic rock type sound I just back the gain off a bit, turn town the treble to 2 or so. Crank the mids to 5-10. Bass all the way up. And turn it up loud!!
