  • These Wilson Phillips girls sing very good, no question about that, but they took the energy out of the original song completely.

AMEN; you hit it right on the button. This song was an explosion of emotion when written and when sung by Fleetwood Mac. This version is like a giant, brilliant ballad with its balls cut off!

  • @spector52 Ouch! You think this is bad, least these girls were a talented unit, but they shouldn't have released this as a single or necessarily presented it as a rather bloodless ballad. I'd pray they do an Abba song far better. But what about Slagdonna's appalling covers of songs & all today's lot, from girls aloud, sugababes, boyzone, spice girls, arctic monkeys, jessie j, lana rey etc. all? Horrible enough when they do their "own" stuff. Mind you Stevie Nick's latest CD's staid.

  • Eternal fucking hate for this remake. I can't believe people think they can remake a song and make it sound good. It's fucking impossible for this song.

  • Three beautiful women. :-)

  • Absolutely love this video but the original still has the edge

  • wilson phillips and the 2 other lovely ladies brings musical beauty to the world

  • @kruparocks for a bit more emotion with a female voice, try lissie watch?v=OltcXMV-9Vk&ob=av2e

  • @AserHapi No problem! When you count them up, it's amazing just how many underrated 80's artists have actually covered a song that got far less attention than weaker versions (whether earlier or later) have done. The Bangles are a perfect example of it, they've covered several songs in their time (most stay album tracks) & always trump the originals, but then I'd say the Bangles are the best female group ever.

Ace Of Base themselves have usually triumphed with covers, but not there!

  • @TheMjblades I always thought that was an Ace of Base song and you just made me discover both the original and (way more importantly) the Bonnie Tyler version...thank you

  • @AserHapi Ace Of Base have already commited that so-called sin with their colourless cover of 'Don't Turn Around', which was better than Aswad's but still misjudged. It was supposed to be a power ballad & the only effectively correct version was Bonnie Tyler's little-known version, which should have got the coverage the other two did.

But about this song, I do agree. I like it enough, but it's a bit like having a boxing glove, yet nothing to thump.
