Daughter's of Iraq

In Yusufiyah, four female American soldiers from Fort Bragg are starting a program called "Daughters of Iraq," which gives Iraqi WOMEN jobs. Traditionally in Iraq, women stay home and have babies. But many women here have become widows because their husbands have either been killed or killed themselves, which means their families have no way to make money.

What medical reasons can "just come up" which would give any male soldier the ability to shirk his duties in the military that come risk free of court marshal and dishonorable discharge?

Pregnancy isn't a medical condition which "just comes up". Its the result of carelessness, irresponsibility and negligence. This isn't college, its the army. Pregnancy is not an affliction, it is a choice.
