"Our Two Lives" song is written and performed by Douglas Henninger and appears on "Earthly Angels and Other Love Songs" which is copyrighted and available on CDBaby.com. The song is an anthem of devotion to the remarkable creature that people created and refined over thousands of years: The Dog.

"The Dog is not Man's best friend.... it is Man's ONLY friend in Nature..."

The video features breeds I am familiar with from dog rescue volunteer work and having owned several of the breeds. The song title refers to the fact that human and dog lives are compatible, but must run in two separate existences. The life of the dog is wholly dependent upon human care. Because humans were given the intelligence and dedication to developing different breeds, they have responsibility for dogs in our world.

The photos were selected to match the 'soul' of each breed as I feel them. I have attempted to show the general personality of each breed based on having handled all of the breeds shown here.

I encourage you to share the video with others who may benefit from the trailer messages. This is one of my favorite 'dog songs' and I never tire of performing it.
To have been allowed to discover dogs, training, 'rescue' and the ability to create the music that celebrates dogs and our relationship with them is one of the blessings I have enjoyed.
