In Oak Ridge, TN there is an abandoned church and cemetery and rural area with a large urban legend. It was once part of community known as Wheat, until the government stepped in around 1942 and took the land for what infamously became known as The Manhattan Project. People report disembodied voices, odd spectral lights around the graves, figures in the windows, and a very angry entity who causes mischief for visitors of this site. Could it be the ghost of one of the murder victims nearby from many years ago? Or could it be the spirit of a bitter person forced to move from the area when the church was closed and the land taken? Some spirits are said to go home with unsuspecting thrill seekers, bringing bad luck. This site is posted no trespassing, it is a very serene place, we ask if you decide to visit to always be respectful. It is protected, by the way, and the city of Oak Ridge watches out for vandals & trespassers. You might also want to consider the wildlife that has access to the cemetery, as coyote are frqeuntly seen there. Did we find proof that this church & cemetery is haunted? See for yourself. And please subscribe if you like what we do.
