There's a lot of media designed to make us think we've ruined the planet, that it's our fault (just like the economic crisis is supposed to be our fault) and it's all just to instill hopelessness and guilt within you so that when they come to annihilate you - your conscience makes you "accept" it more because you believe it's deserved.Or, blame it on your neighbor.

If we all suddenly started treating each other with LOVE, TRULY adhering to the Golden Rule,ALL of their wretched systems would die.

That is so completely true.

We cling to this way of living out of fear.

We allow them to make us more fearful.

Fear is the opposite of love and the only way to conquer it is WITH love.

Odd thing about Falling Down is that it was symbolic for the end of the 90's, just before Fight Club, where it was so obvious that Society had failed and the degradation was so set-in... 9/11 pushed that aside, but as memories fade and the war becomes muted, these feelings have returned - that's why they porned up society, got the kids off issues and onto themselves... but it's failing too...
