This is a great camera with good sound quality. I just wish it could hold more then 2gigs on the SD card. I tried 4gigs and it is not compatible with anything "HC" (High Capacity). Check out the video I recorded of my band to hear un-altered sound quality from the camera..

does it have the flip thing, so if you're recording, you can see what it is on that screen, and you can flip it backwards to record you with a friend or somethin?

You do not need a tripod
Your orientation good

You needed a tripod for this one too. Your orientation is poor. Sound is good except for some wind noise (that you cannot help unless you shield the camera.)
