Operating passenger services on the Nene Valley Railway on the 9th October 2011 were BR Standard Class 5 No. 73050 'City of Peterborough' and BR Standard Class 8 No. 71000 'Duke of Gloucester' (visiting from the East Lancashire Railway). Filmed at locations including Castor Bank, Mill Lane Bridge, and Station Road Crossing.

In order of appearance in this video, No. 73050 'City of Peterborough' is seen heading over Lynches Bridge and onto Castor Bank heading towards Wansford Station and No. 71000 'Duke of Gloucester' speeds by in the opposite direction. Moving to Mill Lane Bridge and we see No. 71000 'Duke of Gloucester' returning from Peterborough Nene Valley Station and attacking the 1 in 270 climb on Castor Bank. No. 73050 'City of Peterborough' is then seen in the opposite direction, heading towards Peterborough Nene Valley. In the last shot, taken at Station Road Crossing, No. 73050 'City of Peterborough' is seen with the last service of the day heading back to Wansford Station.

This weekend was to be the last operating day for No. 71000 'Duke of Gloucester', before it would head back to it's current base on the East Lancashire Railway.
