http://www.euronews.net/ "Our democracy will be without terrorism but it will not forget."
This was Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero's response to the promise by the Basque separatist group ETA to lay down its weapons forever.
The prime minister spoke of remembering the more than 850 people killed in 51 years of ETA violence.
The first major bomb attack was in 1973, killing Luis Carrero Blanco, the head of the government under the reign of the dictator Franco.
Franco died of ill health in 1975, and Spain became a constitutional monarchy.
@nachillyo ETA is not the voice of Spanish people! They don't consider themselves Spanish. They are just a pathetic minority group that everyone is disgusted with, even the Basque people!

@propjam2
They are indeed sinister, realize that these three figures either they have killed people themselves or have induced other to kill, or both. But at the same time they look so ridiculous and pathetic.

I would like to believe it but I'm afraid I don't.
I you read the written communicate you would realize that it is a conditioned ceasefire. Conditioned to they achieving their political goals.
They say it's over, like many times before. Ok, but they keep the guns and the bombs and the terorrists wanted by the justice will not go to police to pay for their crimes.
Its all a fake. The will be back if things don't go theyr way.
I'm afraid, but this is all a fake, again.
