DIAMOND
Who would think that our section would last 3 years of happiness, sorrow and unforgettable moments? It all started when we were sorted out at our sophomore year. There was the group from mars, Neptune, Earth and of course Venus. We were spearheaded by our ever lovely adviser Maam Julie Pineda who never forgets to use herbie (the Volkswagen). Its still fresh in my memory the times when we dont have anything to do cause Maam Pineda has not arrived yet, and the unforgettable Flaura. The section was divided by two; the group of Alex and the group of Kevin. Alexs group who used 2 buwitres instead of one, and Kevins group who used the puno ng saging. And also the magkaugnay performance where there were two groups the banga and the pamaypay, where bavyjos skirt slip-off on her waist but still she continued to dance, Where Divina was lifted with the help of our boys, where we first use our signature the fountain. Our section was on the get-to-know stage but through the dozen performances we underwent our section got stronger and more united. One year had passed but we were not bothered for we dont know at the time what will happen.
Oxygen
The breezy and bright room of oxygen, I think that was the symbol of this section. We were then called jamoxy. What are the experiences, you ask? Well there was the very savory smell of the boys C.R together with the canal on the side. The first time the girls joined the Rover scout and the other on the junior dumb guard. The school intramurals where the impressive game of nitrogen and oxygen took place. The audiences were all in awe every time the ball was passed from one player to the other. We were all crying and jumping by the time our boys won. Its as if time stood still. There is also our performance in the 70s. The practice at Justeens house where we ate pan de sal and juice. Where some of us bought our earrings and belts at the baratilyo. The Lob gown thing and again and again the fountain. Another was the Kalayaan Performance where Maam Padiernos got goosebumps. The one night practice and rushing of props. Then came sir Alvin who we bid farewell but with a twist for we feasted on pan de sal and pancit (the drinks were kanya-kanya) and of course the mangga. Some say this year was more satisfying and ecstatic than our last year. But of course if not thru our experiences in this year we will not be like this.
Einstein
We where at U.P when Sir Sonny first told us that some of our beloved classmates will be transferred to the other sections. That was the first time I cant control my tears. That was the first Ending. But we cope up with the lost. We still did our best to be together and in tact. All the club where every president was a member of the family, the RED CROSS, the DANCE TROUPE, the BAGLAN-CCP, the ROVERETTES etc. Who would forget the Congo,(BEWARE! BEWARE WALK WITH CARE OR MUMBO JUMBO GOD OF THE CONGO AND ALL OF THE OTHER GODS OF THE CONGO!) the charcoal-lotion, the moves, the beating of the drum, and the excellent performance of intet with the boys, and the turistas. But we still did excellent on the performance. And the rush of the thesis people, the reprinting the nth time. (to be continued)
Congratulations!
