Many thanks to the ringers of the cathedral for letting me attend a practice night, and thanks to my uncle and mrs. Margret Oram for coming to the final arrangement.

The bells are not hung in the cathedral, but in a detatched bell tower on the cathedral grounds. The ringers practiced double Norwich as I left the tower. Some of the bells wew a bit to big for me, but I'll stick to little ones in futre.

Enjoy the video as much as I did making it.

For those who are interested, the cathedral has eight bells, and they are hung in a separate tower and not in the cathedral.

Rumours say the bells were hung in the central tower, but when it collapsed in 1861, they were placed in the south-west tower, then a separate detatched bell tower was added to accomadate them.

  • My gawd! they sound horrendous!

  • Maybe...

Imagine how beautiful they would be if they were retuned.

  • PLEASE! - someone get these dreadful bells retuned.

  • I think they're too old to be recast.
