I have a question, and a request if possible, how do you know where to put your fingertips to get the right note??? You kno, how dou you know where the notes are??? o_O I play the guitar, but you know guitars have frets, but violins don't, so how do you know???? I always wanted to know that, It would be very helpful if you could explain that to me :)

u'll know the right notes if you know what the notes of the music scales sound like. since violin doesn't have any frets, it's crucial for a violinist to have a sharp ear.

i bought a violin and restring it myself, and its so different from guitar, it kept going out of tune as the string pulls the pegs, i push it in really hard yet it slowly goes out of tune, do you have to tune your violin everyday? on a guitar once its in tune and the string stretches it almost never goes out of tune, this is so much different?

I have seen some with 3 or 4 thousand dollar violins show the scales just play it and say got that.LoL, that is so dumb if I had it would I be watching...Thank you! for taking the time to really teach. your great!!
