  • You are truly a cool teacher and beginning students are the most in need of those to start forming good habits. My elementary school cello teacher use to talk about contact points and channels . Like very much your exp. of complex overtones of sounds. I use to call it the sound layering of overtones. ....Love this teaching video..Very generous to give of your time so freely through this new technology making available to those without possibly the means for good lessons to come their way.

  • I love the cello! ~ ♥ Now all I have to do is get my hands on one...

  • LOL:D Thanks for my time?? Thanks for YOUR time!!!! Free lessions are awesome!!! And as for the gum, I didn't even notice it until I read the other comments, LOL:D

  • Interesting, but throw the gum!!

  • That's quite interesting.

Your gum annoys me so much though. It really takes away from the video. You're good otherwise.

  • Hi im a beginner and when i went to tune my cello the C string popped off my peg i fixed it and barley tightened it and it broke.......... wat do you suggest to do

  • i did pick that second tone:P your a realy good treacher, i do'nt even have my cello yet to practice but already i can't stop wachting your vids ;P

    bye bye

  • this is very helpful and apreciated.

    Thanks for sharing sir! 5/5

  • Very true, ChuuMei. When the wood ages, it dries out more and sounds richer. It's true on guitars and basses too. This is why vintage instruments are so sought after.

  • Very good teaching. Thank you.
