This is my sweet kitty :) Turn volume up to hear purring. He is an adult, pet African serval. He is a neutered male who has all of his claws and teeth. He was born and raised as a pet, and I hold a licence from the USDA to do educational work with him.

  • Own a big dog, and it's all cool and normal, own a medium sized cat, and people flip out about "danger" and "that's wild!" Honestly, the world has some issues.

  • Oh no. This animal is obviously being abused. Look at those purrs of... Happiness? Could it be that this animal truly loves its owner? By God I think it is utterly happy!. Quickly trolls troll on. This poor animal is too happy! We need misery!

  • i bet the purring is like a massage when they're that big

  • I have wanted a Serval for a year now XD They are such amazing animals!! I don't even want a savannah! I want a full Serval baby! I will get one once I move into a bigger place :3

  • Aww! He loves you so much!

  • He's a big ol' sweetie

  • We'd love one! Not sure how he'd integrate with our domestic cats, though (or vice versa!) - would love to see the look on their faces at first meeting. :D

  • I am in love with that gorgeous animal.

Yeah people who find things cute want them so they can show them off. Get off your high horse and stop being a pretentious douche. I can understand where you're trying to come from but for the most part you sound like a complete tool.

  • I've never heard of a serval killing or maiming a human, so it seems fine to me. The thing is not a lion or tiger.

  • All fine and well. If you know how to care for an exotic pet, props to you. If you know how to repress its natural DNA urges for it to harm you, even better.

BUT I wouldn't want HALF of you that are commenting "omg! how cute, I want one!" to have a servil. You obviously want it for show off purposes...REAL handlers don't react like middle school girls when it comes to wildlife.

And if you HAVE to ask the likelihood of it becoming aggressive, you DON'T need one. Get a house cat and shut up.
