  • That Lou Gordon promo sounds pretty good. Too bad I can't see the show.

  • @CarlD2 Yeah, Hardee's is no good. :P The one that took over Burger Chef in my old neighborhood eventually shut down and became something else.

  • @LisaBaby67 I still see Hardees but I rarely see more than a few cars in the parking lot.

  • @BettinaBalser Yes.

  • @CarlD2 The Burger Chef by my house (way back then) was bought by Hardee's. Then Hardee's closed down. I haven't seen a Hardee's in this area in years.

  • Some relatives actually had a copy of that Time "Faces in the News Book" when I was a kid. I can remember thinking how nifty it was to have all those covers in one place. Now you can go to their website and do the same thing for free!

  • Thank you for posting these. I miss *this* America. Anyone with me?

  • Those Gala II paper towels look awesome. That "Color Tile" has a really nice sign.

  • Whatever happened to Burger Chef?

Love the old Star Trek bumper.

    The Time ad is great.

I don't know why the fire sale ad used such tiny photos of the store.

  • Another great set of old school commercials. Another great post.
