Steam locomotive R707 on its return towards Melbourne
from an excursion to Traralgon in 1993 with a mixed goods and passenger train. The seven four wheel wagons loaded with briquettes were added at Morwell for Dandenong for the Heinz factory that was there at the time; so the train ran as a mixed train between Morwell and Dandenong. The Gippsland line overhead wiring was in position at the time but some of the rail tracks beneath at places like Moe had been pulled up. The train is shown at various locations between Traralgon and Pakenham. The overhead wiring on the Melbourne side of Pakenham, is still in position as surburban trains had been extended to Pakenham from Dandenong.
