He also mentions a time in his life when he felt he wasn't the best rapper alive. He then recieved a call from Jay-Z saying "I see you. I just wanna let you know I see what you doin." He then says that at that moment when he hung up the phone he felt he had finally made it as an artist. He respects Jay-Z way more than Em. He and Em are two totally separate entities whereas he and Jay-Z are more alike than ever. Neither of them write, Em does write for his albums.

If you knew anything about the rap game you would understand that he IS talking about Jay-Z. Jay is the only other real rapper out there that has claimed to be the best rapper alive. Eminem hasn't. Best rapper alive since the best rapper retired... Go listen to Jay-Z... He has claimed to be retiring so many times it's not even funny. Em hasn't. In fact on Lil Wayne's behind the music he claims to be going after Jay-Z's title as best rapper alive... THOSE ARE WORDS FROM WAYNE'S MOUTH.
