The Celebration Center on San Diego Living talking about our Bike Build for Kids in Need

Come spread some Holiday cheer and join the members of the Celebration Center on Sunday Dec 13th as we build bikes by playing team games, listen to the music of Karl Anthony and see the excited faces of these underprivileged kids as they revel in the delight of receiving their first bike!

Were sure you remember when you got your very first bicycle for your birthday or Christmas! Your memories of riding until it was dark during summer vacation will stay with you always.

But for many families throughout San Diego, it's hard to afford luxuries like bikes for their children. Many kids are forced to go without this cherished childhood pastime.

Our philanthropic holiday event will help change this by building bicycles for kids at Casa de Amparo and from a Boys and Girls Club. You can be part of a team that will build a bike that will change the life of a child.

Teams will need to be creative to accomplish all tasks such as building, designing, decorating, and even creating a personal note from the team to be given to each recipient.

Youll be making a real difference in the lives of San Diego children in need.

Cost to become a Team Member is $30 per adult, $5 for kids under 12. If you are unable to attend, you can still donate by sponsoring team members to build bikes.

We are also accepting donations of non perishable food items for the San Diego Food Bank and warm jackets for ages 4-18, for the Monarch School which serves homeless children in downtown San Diego. Bring items to this event or to the Shakti Tribe concert.
