FSX Basics - Push Back and Rotate

As far as i can tell the angle of the push back is already programmed in depending on the gate/parked space and airport you are at, so it's important you are at the right gate for your aircraft. For example if are in a A380(classed as heavy) and are parked at a gate classed for medium, you will end up out of position as the rotation path for that gate won't be enough for you.

However, You can push back anywhere, even on water. You do not need to be parked at a gate.If you are at a gate though or anywhere near the yellow markers and you try to rotate it will probably follow the programmed path.

You only need to press the 1 or 2 key just once. Depending on the angle of rotation it can take a few seconds before the turn begins so a little patience is needed.

If you are only being pushed in a straight line then you are not pressing the 1 or 2 key fast enough after you release Shift + P to start the push back. It needs to be one movement more or less.

if the shir+P (1 or 2) for rotation doesn't work, try and change the controls from shift+p to Ctrl+p this did it for me and now the turn (left and right) work just fine.

which 1 and 2?! is it the one on the number keyboard thing, or the numbers at the top of the keyboard below F1, F2, F3 etc.

That might be a stupid question. but how do you know which way to go through while taxing out? I mean there too many paths and one may get lost :P

Pushback works for me, but there's no car/visual animation of a car pushing me. Or its only for some airports?

how do you get it so that the plane is right next to the airport to do the fuel load and all of that stuff

@water892 location pick your airport and at the bottom youll see active runway change it
