  • That's nice to hear TurboNeon185:)

There are definitely differences between the XBOX and PS3. When I had mine, it was only available for PS3.

I did indeed spend tons of time troubleshooting the mouse and tried every adjustment in combination with every other. Again, it has a ton to do with how fast you can make the sensitivity on the game itself - folks on Modern Warfare could get a smooth experience when they set their sensitivity in-game to "insane" and the dial on the Frag FX to 1.

  • @stubbornpuppet23 Problem is, that every game required the dial to be set all the way down and the in-game all the way up (at least on PS3) to be able to turn at any reasonable speed. If you adjusted them the opposite way, you could get smooth movement, but it took 4 or more complete swipes on an oversized mouse pad to make a 360 turn.

Again, I didn't hate this controller, I liked every aspect of it except the slow rate of turn and staircasing... and the 4 weeks it took for them on my return.

  • I wonder if you're using the FragFX Shark. This review was only for the Frag FX Shark and it's supposedly new for 2011 according to Splitfish. I suppose they could have made changes to their architecture since you bought yours and I know that Sony made changes to the PS3 firmware that crapped them up a bit more. Like I said, I wanted to love this controller and it has a lot going for it... it's just too slow to turn and too sketchy from one game to the next.

  • sorry dude, but with correct settings the FragFX works just perfect. No matter what u do it works smooth... I would advice you to read the manual 1st and look up the setting ingame and on the chuck before posting videos like this...

  • @QuentinRademakerNL "OK dude". I DID read the manual and I DID go to the SplitFish website to follow all of their FAQ's and tutorials on setting it up. You might even notice the part of my video where I displayed my settings. It works good on a few games, like Call of Duty series... but is pure crap on most others. Nice try at bad publicity recovery though. Perhaps SplitFish could try perfecting their product and releasing a new model that does a better job of emulating the stick movement.

  • Thanks for the headsup, i was looking to buy this. But now im not so sure.

  • @Enski94 I don't agree with this comment. I thought the Shark felt great and the button quality was excellent. My only beef was with sensitivity and lack of smooth diagonal movement.

  • i bought them without research what an idiot am i

  • I just wanted to thank you for doing this review and am sorry to hear this didn't live up to expectations. Thanks to you I decided to go with the more expensive but superior XIM3 setup.

  • Total crap on BF3 on the PS3, what a waste of money.

  • @Mr0Beast It isnt working smoothly, the sensitivity thing is retarded. They do not feel good in your hands, and the button layout sucks donkeytesticles. They are really light weight and feel very cheap. Also the buttons on the mouse doesnt click like a regular mouse, which sucks. You have to press them pretty far down before they react, fucking retarded controllers...

  • @Enski94 Why is it that bad?

  • I use the Frag FX for Uncharted 2 and MW3

  • @dauransx Realize most people here aren't kids.

  • This junk for $80? No thanks!

  • I agree with this I play on pc and ps3 with the shark as long u are stationary and shoot at long range it will work fine. Where it mess up is at those odd angels for you to have chance at a kill. You have to quickly lift your mouse once or twice which is difficult and u might be lucky and get the kill. Staircasing is real I just avoid diagonals and instead move or drop shot because its hard too do a diagonal it can be done but its a pain you must constantly adjust unlike a mouse.

  • same thing happened to me. Such a scam

  • Worst controllers ever, i got one myself. Fucking retarded...

  • Alright news is out...Go check out the legit fragfx shark CEO's opinion...It was finally released the perfect adjustment for MW3 fragfx shark PS3 version.

    Sensitivity ingame- 7

    dead-zone - middle of 5 and 6 but a tip closer to the 5

  • @lJagoVsFulgorel Sorry dude but I imagine that you have never used the fragFX shark...I have videos from "Stevy" from TEK9...tutorial videos that need to be BOUGHT and are not free and that's the secret..using w,a,d,s on the opposite way of using the mouse.

You probably don't use it because maybe your not on the high level of knowing how to control a FPS game..I've been playing since cod2 and I barely knew in black ops about the w,a,d,s...trust me it takes years of practice for perfection.

  • i to watch reviews on games an controllers but these days there alot of fan boys an liers so i just buy th shit my self an test it out if its ass return it but i think the micro aimming is great

  • @stubbornpuppet23 i just got mine and it's great. granted, it's for xbox and like you said it could be that splitfish could have made changes to improve it. perhaps you didn't take enough time to dial in the dead zone. it's very important to have it JUST right. and i mean even having the setting on the top of a number or the bottom can make a huge difference. had i come across your review first i may have missed out on what i already consider one of my best gaming investments.

  • Although this contoller is not perfect by any means. I've been using Splitfish's mouse controller for the PS3 for a few years and every FPS I've played worked great with it. I've played Half-Life 2, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, Battlefield 1943, and Battlefield Bad Company 2. They all worked just fine. I started out with the very first wired version, and now I have the wireless version. Been using that ever since and it's worked beautifully.

  • Dude...Seriously????

All you guys are being too playstationy about this..

    THIS IS A MOUSE!!

no the same as a controller of playstation 3

Modern Warfare 3 trust me = sensitivity ingame8-10

and dead-zone is 5 or right infront of the 5

    The MAIN THING ABOUT THIS..

When you are aiming, You need to be using the analog...in PC the players are using WDA in the keyboard while aiming..be using the analog when aiming and this aiming will be perfect..

I have been using it for more than a year trust me

  • I would also recommend setting the sensitivity between 2 and 4 depending of what game you play, for me it works just great, or said in another way, playing with the Shark compared to a regular ps3 controller is just so much better, even when not having 100%free jerkiness/staircasing.

  • @peyj245 Well i would also recommend setting the sensitivity between 2 and 4 depending of what game you play, for me it works just great, or said in another way, playing with the Shark compared to a regular ps3 controller is just so much better, even when not having 100%free jerkiness/staircasing...
