What would a rectifier have done? Rectifiers don't turn DC to AC. Rectifiers are made of either 2 (half wave) or 4 (full wave) diodes. Rectifiers are designed to turn AC into pulsed DC, add a capacitor and you get DC. You would need an oscillator to create pulsed DC from DC. Add some shaping circuitry to create AC. Using the file to make/break the circuit simulated AC by making pulsed DC. Adding a rectifier would have done nothing useful. But thanks for the comment!

  • why do you need the file. would it work if you made a direct conection?

  • u should team up kipkay(look him up in youtube)

  • i plan on incorporating this in to one of my projects. it gonna be a shock glove. i'm gonna have a stips of metal on my fingers with rubber insulation to avoid getting shocked myself.

  • @kingRumen He's only using the file as a ground for the current. you can pretty much use any metal strip to use as ground to complete the circuit for the shock device.

  • i dont have 5 alligator clips

  • what kind of ac adaptor do i need

  • This guys a fucking genius!!!!!
