Damn iron correct, er, auto correct. "brilliance makes up for Fagen's fading pipes..."
-
Herington's brilliance makes up for defend fading pipes...
-
@MOSKII58 Yup, and he could definitely play note for note if he wanted. Must take huge chops to play in this band
-
@JaneyRocks2004 I don't know about that... That's rather a condescending, racist remark. Btw - I think the "white people" up on the stage making the music are doing a pretty good job.
-
@antimosport Jon Herington plays his own leads sort of in the vein of the original, buy i agree- i wish he kept closer to the way we are use to hearing them..
-
lead guitar solo's are nothing like the original,I wonder why?
-
@will4ward Totally. The only people that tend to care about musical "perfection" are other musicians. Most of the general listening public just like what they like because it makes them feel a certain way, and those feelings come from the personality of the artist(s) shining through regardless of how "imperfect" their technique and tone may be. Music is in the ear of the beholder.

How can you talk trash about these guys? Full of pure talent, you may not like this genre of music, but respect it because its damn good music. Anyone with a brain knows this is NOT easy to play.
-
Steely Dan is punk as fuck.
-
@JaneyRocks2004 So is talking trash about your own race.
Donalds voice is unique. The right kinda punch
to underline the sarcasm and wit.
Sure its not a perfect voice ,but the most unique voices have "texture"& personality.
Becker should rarely be allowed to sing,-i'm just sayin'
