A draw betweenAlumrock and Reggae Boys and a win for the Stallions would ensure the Stallionsa place in the Quarters and the fate met its course as Alumrock drew away toReggae boys meaning all the stallions had to do was win and a win did they get!

Prior to the matchthere was a lot of hype over Smethwick's attack but it didn't seem to faze theboss one bit when we spoke to him.

"Everyone we spoke to in regards to Smethwickadvised us to be very cautious about their wingers and striker but all I had inmy mind was ok they have three talented attackers but we have six, we also haveone of the toughest rear-guards in the league, Should I be worried I think not".

The Stallions had theworst possible start to the game as Smethwick made it 2-0 within the first twominutes of the game it looked like the gaffer would be eating his own words butas usual the Stallions battled away and got the reward they deserved with Samchesting the ball down and slotting away on the half volley after a great setpiece delivery by Nassir Heaidari.

The Equaliser didn't takelong to come either as Umar javed crossed in for Habeel Nawaz to score a rearheader from six yards out.

2-2 game on!

It was one way trafficas the Stallions piled on the pressure, Habeel won a clever corner Umar deliveredand Adam finished stuff of quality as we like to say.

With so many goals flyingin within the first 30 minutes we have to find space to mention Mohammed Sohailwho was having a field day out there terrorising the opposition, Sohail cameclose to making it four as he weaved his way past 4 Smethwick players only tosee his shot drift wide of the far post.

Ten minutes to halftime and Sohail was at it again taking on three Smethwick players only to bebrought down in the box, the ref awarded the penalty and Mr consistency UmarJaved made it 4-2 to the Stallions going into half time.

The Half time teamtalk was pretty simple as Obayed calmly told the Stallions "we are two goals upget the fifth goal and you can go out there and enjoy the rest of the game".

Ten minutes into thesecond half the Stallions made it five and Six in quick succession as Sam setup Habeel twice who finished of Smethwick to make it 6-2 to the Stallions.

The shackles were nowoff and the Stallions were playing total football as Royd played a sublime passinto the path of Sam Sawish who took a touch turned and hit the ball right downthe middle of the goal.

7-2 Stallions

With Habeel grabbing hishatrick, Sam Grabbing a brace it was time for some of the other Stallions toget amongst the goals and this time superstar Habeel turned from assassin tocreator as he weaselled his way into the box and slid the ball to Umar whofinished off his second goal of the game in emphatic football.

Five minutes to playand Abdul Hassan was brought on to play up front for Habeel Nawaz who got astanding ovation from the fans. Hassan made an immediate impact as he turnedhis marker in the box to find Adam Tipper staring at an empty net, with asimple pass from Hassan Tipper made it 9-2 to the Stallions.

A great performance fromall the players, the Stallions become the first team to qualify for the Quarterswith a group game still to be played.
