The Musee D'Orsay, unlike our British galleries, allow photography - therefore I decided to take some footage of their collection of paintings by Vincent van Gogh.

  • Oh my god...............

  • when i will die , i hope they wont put such shitty frames to my paintings

  • @akeldamaFTW le guinguette

  • Thank you for filming this, I love Van Gogh's paintings...

  • anyone know the name of the piece at 0:51? it's my favorite impressionistic work of all time btw.

  • @2plus2is9 no they dont have any special protection, the experience is unique!!!

  • Are these paintings covered with a protective glass? I know often people choose not to put protective glass when they frame their oil paintings...but these are masterpieces. I'd be very surprised if they were bare.

I wonder what else they use to preserve these pictures...maybe some sort of special varnish? I dont know.

  • I've been there, it was quite the experience........

  • Amazing! I didn't know Orsay had so many Van Goghs!
