  • what theme are you using and how'd you change the top start menu icon to arch icon

  • @dotatwoonlinux changing the icon is pretty easy:

    - right click on the menu applet

    - select "properties"

    - click on the icon and browse for a new one

The xfwm theme is called axiom and the gtk2 theme is called gt4_white.

  • nice peec

  • @Eiuvre Actually, this is the 4.8 version which has been released as stable recently ;)

There is a few bugs but no big deal (at least for me ^^). I'm using for about 2 weeks now and I just enjoy it: it is light, fast, simple: just what I want from a DE :)

And the developers are nice and open and so I'm actually thinking about contributing to the development of XFCE :)

  • @Eiuvre You're welcome ;)

Actually, I did this video just to show that transparency works well under XFCE for someone in a forum. I did a more complete video that shows new features of XFCE 4.8.

I have one question: what made you want to switch from Gnome? I'm guessing it is Gnome Shell...

  • @Eiuvre What do you mean? Yes, it does work properly... What's with gnome-panel? As this is obviously not gnome-panel...
