Aileen's Basenji Tapanga, about six months old, plays in the Silver Lake sand dunes.

(The sound isn't working on my computer right now, so I have no idea how the audio turned out. Sorry if the volume is crazy or something?)

  • my basenji loves to dig too, she once got on the table when we were out and ate all the chocolates in a box except the coffee ones, she is 13 now how long do they usually live?

  • usually 10 - 14 years, but they've been known to sometimes live even longer.

  • omg my basenji would love some sand dunes!

  • @AnnahHasArrived13 It's not an Egyptian Basenji, it's just a Basenji and it's not that they can't bark, they just don't bark much!

  • She likes the sand..lovely basenji

  • I have an Egyptian basenji and she can't bark! they loveeee to dig don't they? Lol

  • Tenacious, funloving, stubborn and head strong breed! Lovely scoundrels!

  • They're definitely not stupid. What most people interpret as dumb is actually their independence.. It takes brains to be a hunter-breed like the basenji.

    basenji <3

  • I have a Basenji and her name is Cinnamon. LOLOLOL she's right next to me right now :D

  • Seems wherever this breed goes, they have a good time playing.

  • Awesome!
