Good news, I am here to officially announce that I and some other people will be making a Tomb Raider mod for the PC game Crysis. This mod is currently named 'Lara Croft: Lost Dimensions'. The player will be immersed in this wonderful tropical environment, where they will engage on heavy combat and light puzzle elements. It shall be an FPS, since it's quite difficult to make it a 3rd person shooter. The mod is being developed in 'CryEngine2 Sandbox2' which is a fantastic level building tool with some stunning Next-Gen visuals, the tool comes available with the game 'Crysis' for PC. The story line to the game is that:

Lara Croft is set on an epic journey across to Greece to find a priceless Vase called Athena's Basin. While travelling across the coast of Greece, Lara's plane encounters a bizarre explosion in one of the engines which forces the plane to crash on a remote island. Little does she know that there is a greater treasure posted in the heart of the island...

So far we have made some beautiful concepts, and Started modeling a custom Lara for the game. Here are some images that might interest you

First off, the mod is available for free so I don't think that the developers are very worried about having an enormous number of people play it. Secondly, I do not believe that there is anything that makes Tomb Raider a console-specific game. As far as I know, every Tomb Raider game has been made available for PC which is more than can be said for any specific console. Also, why am I having this pointless conversation? If your response was that I have no life, you are quite correct.

Oh, by the way:

I like the face of your Lara, at least in the close-up in the first image.

Much better than the ridiculous looking Lara in "Underworld".

She does look almost exactly like in one of the games before that though.

Also, I wish some things weren't as flat and blurry.

Needs more detail and stuff.
