New 0-60 run with CAI on, no muffler, Jet Performance Stage 1 chip, Mobil 1 Synthetic oil, full tank of gas plus recovery tools in the back(tow straps, chains, booster cables, various fluids like antifreeze, extra oil, wiper fluid, transmission oil). Take off is about 4 seconds and I hit 60 at about 11 secs. That's is a close 7 second 0-60 run. Not bad for needing new plugs, wires, cap, rotor. Motor has 154,499 miles on it in this run.

I'll have to take another vid of the 0-60 someday. It currently has a cold air intake, 52mm throttle body, free flowing exhaust, SCT tune, 24lb/hr Ford Racing injectors, Performance Distributors Ignition upgrade, Autolite 3923s gapped to .065", relocated IAT sensor. Currently working on doing a true cold air intake, gonna put a functional hood scoop on and make a new intake/filter set up.

your jeep does 0-60 to slowly i think for what you say is done to it.

i have a 1994 grand cherokee limited 5.2L v8 like yours, 230,000km on engine. as far as i know it has nothing upgraded except the k&n intake kit and the throttle body says holly v8 but i think all magnum 318's had that. anyways it does 0-60 in almost 7s flat with 160lbs of sandbags in the back + spare tire

  • @MustangsCanTurnToo I live in the mountains and going up the steep parts of the highway passing people and racing around i average about 16 mpg... on flat highway and freeway driving i can average up to about 25 mpg, only upgrades is k&n cold air intake and flowmaster 40 exhaust system...plus now a 3 1/2 inch lift and 32" tires but those tires took a nice chunk out of the gas mileage though haha

  • @moneyhungry8604 I went through a forum and got the tune done by a tuner not from SCT. The tunes are tailored to my Jeep and the mods I have done to it.

  • @countryboy262i6 I want an SCT tuner/programmer for my 96 GC 5.2L V8 but their website has no option for jeep under the Make list. How did you tune yours? with what? Please Respond ASAP!

  • @MustangsCanTurnToo Have fun! the 318 is a beast when tuned up!!

  • @moneyhungry8604 Thats awesome! I'm getting my ZJ ready for life in Alaska. The 3000+ mile road (and dirt) trip will be epic! I'm anxious to get to work on tuning up the engine.

  • @MustangsCanTurnToo I own a 96 5.2L GC myself and took a 50 mile drive after filling her with gas and averaged 23mpgs getting around 25mpg on the hwy and about 19/20mpg in the city (65% of the trip was hwy)

  • @drippinblood28 All things are relative. As equipped, its a 4000 pound SUV with full time four wheel drive, that's 15 years old, and has been around the earth six times. The 5.2 was designed more for torque than horsepower and if he's getting 24 mpg as he claims, this Jeep is awesome and VERY impressive.
