I have this machine and love the popcorn that it makes. If you want "yellow" popcorn as in the movies, I think if you buy the "popcorn oil" it will give it that color.
I would like to have some cleaning tips. I don't think I'm cleaning it the easiest way or perhaps the best. But I do love it and I think perhaps it is time to go make some right now!

One smart think is that the lever to empty the pan in on the outside, many small machines copy large machines an have it inside, which seems kind of.. well like a chance for a easy burn, or at least discomfort. Other than that, it makes no more tan a whirley-pop.

@H2gameglitchers kernel season's has "butter" spray that is good... or you could just melt equal part butter and veg oil.. i have the sam machine too!

I have this machine. Here's what you need.....
theaters use COCONUT oil to pop. it will not burn and smoke. They also use FLAVACOL for salt topping. It is also used in the popper. You can also purchase the "butter" the theaters use which is not butter at all. Google flavacol or popcorn supplies and you can find these supplies. These ingredients will make your popcorn taste exactly like the theaters. Also use yellow kernels. FYI this is a 2oz kettle.
