  • If Obermann, Rather and Matthews are "centrists", I shudder to think at what you deem "liberals".

Where is the logic that says because the media outlets are owned by rich people, that means they are owned by conservatives?

In poll after poll, old media types have overwhelmingly stated that they prefer the Democruds, who are far more liberal than in the days of FDR, Truman and JFK (They would be rolling in their graves if they could see what their party has turned into).

  • At most, they're centrists, not even remotely leftwing. You should wonder why you think that centrists are somehow 'the liberal media'. If you think the center is the left, that only reflects how far on the right you are. :)

  • Yes, Keith Obermann, Dan Rather, Chris Matthews, and all these other media types are CONSERVATIVES.

And Clinton did not have sex with "that woman".

    And gays are "normal" people.

Gee, no WONDER you PEOPLE like Fairy Tales.

  • Bernard Goldberg started this whole 'liberal media' lie on Fox News Channel (R).

Considering that all major news outlets are now owned by corporations, that doesn't even pass the sniffle test.

But it is too much for McClellan to accuse the media for not challenging his bs. Although of course they didn't.

  • whell, Rove is saying he sounds like a "liberal".

  • Oh, and Olbermann's show is THE exception that proves the rule. Remember Phil Donahue's show a few years back, which I believe was on MSNBC. Too anti-war to handle. He got the ax, and with the quickness. MSNBC didn't want to have an "antiwar face" while all the other networks were waving the flag at every turn.

  • What's funny is that Scott Mclellan says the "liberal media" did not do its job to be critical of Bush&Co's pre-Iraq claims. If we did indeed have a "liberal media" (or one that wasn't overwhelmingly conservative), the whole "liberal media" lie would come under scrutiny as a result of this story. I guess only the Loony Left would suggest media complicity during the run-up. Oh, and Scott Mclellan.

  • Actually, Mr. Olbermann IS a journalist-however in this job, he is paid to have (and express) an OPINION, which you obviously disagree with.

  • "thrown his former boss under the bus." olbermann is a self-righteous, irresponsible (because he is a journalist right?) asshole.
