Left wing politics in this country is quite atrocious. So immersed in Civil War politics have we been that the strongest "left-wing" party that we have is Labour. And as they have proved time and again they are essentially a centrist party, slightly to the left of FG/FF. But what's the alternative? The trotskyist Socialist party and the Sinners. I like the sound of the PBP Alliance but why should they be any better?

I rather have a democratic Marxist like Joe Higgans, then that right-wing capitalist; Joan Burton, who turned Labour into neoliberalism. Look at here talking about how she is a good ''social democrat'' and that free thinking is not allowed in the Socialist Party. What a bitch, it was Labour who did not tolerate the Militant Tendency. She worked with the right-wing of the party to expel all revolutionary socialists from Labour. So she is the one who is not tolerant.
