I remember where I was and what I was doing when Return of the Jedi was advertised. I was eight years old.

Star Wars was released the day I turned 9 in 1977. In a way, I felt the film was made just for me. Kids think stupid things :-)

There was a scene shot in the original cut of the film where the rebels captured a bunch of Wampa ice creatures, the same as the one that killed Luke's Tauntaun and tried to eat him. The rebels put them in a room and put a warning sticker no the door. When the imperials took Echo Base, C3P0 ripped the sticker off the door, and a bunch of Storm troppers were killed by the beasts. Pretty cool scene, and I wish it had made the final cut of the film.
