Panasonic Toyota Racing With The Dark Knight at Silverstone

Formula 1 met Hollywood at Silverstone yesterday when Panasonic Toyota Racing's TF108 Formula 1 car drove head-to-head with the 'Batmobile', as part of a promotion for the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight. Timo Glock drove the TF108 alongside the Batmobile, which made a Formula 1-style pit stop, while Jarno Trulli had the chance to sample the Bat-Pod vehicle.

Definitely not supposed to be a real race. They were going for side by side driving. Racing a formula 1 car against a tank isn't exactly fair.

what s the point of this promo? the F1 is obviously faster then the tumbler (bat mobile). what does F1 have to do with the bat mobile? they are bth powerful in their respective ways, but on the track..F1 Indy car FTW. id love to see that bat mobile drift!
