This is the luckiest Deltic surviver, and it's wonderful to hear that sound. Pure music to the ears!!

Ive read that this deltic has been saved and that D.R.S have bought it.

You just can't beat the sound of a Deltic - amazing.

they should put an MTU engine in it!

Hellfire engine! 16 was (and still is) the loudest Deltic.

@ianwalmsley2 yes i think your right, it wasnt porterbrook ( my appologies ) i think it was either h n r or the ones after that , i know now after porterbrook it went to 2 more owners and there was a lot of spec that it would be scrapped if no buyer found so again thanks to beaver sports for the purchase, i love deltics we have only 6 left and would love to see them all on the mainline again, must admit though i loved this livery , thanks for putting me right

@wattass7 There is no way in the world Porterbrook would have scrapped this loco. Porterbrook has done more for railway preservation than you will ever know, and since this loco was painted for publicity what do you think would be the effect of letting any harm come to it?
