@metalfukker greg tribet uses the v2 series amp then a dime x2 and a kerry king marshall 800 .i got the hell ya video and he tracks with the randall v2 and x2 and rythem shit hell use thekk jcm800 for punch in ryrhem,i read in a online interview last summer he loves randall valvedynamic heads and never will leave his studio rig and live rig witch both studio and live rigs are the exaact shit ,duh lol

@aarondistorted You need compression actually. Levels are jumping up and down especially for a rock/metal band, so they have to be tamed a bit and have the mix sit a little bit more cohesively. Vocals are debatable if they need compression these days because of 24 bit recording. How much compression is a taste thing though, some producers engineers like that squashed sound and others like it more aired out. Most modern metal is WAY too compressed though--little dynamics are left.

sucks that bands go for more and more advanced amps as they progress but they still digress back to that same ol' pro tools stock sound when they record. drums and all. compression sucks dick.
